Alan L. Gilliland, age 71 of Auburn (formerly of Brownville), passed away Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Bryan LGH West Medical Center in Lincoln. He was born June 7, 1936 in Leavenworth, KS.
Survivors include his friend Holly Gilliland of Auburn; daughter Sadie Gilliland of Auburn; son Bill Gilliland of Auburn; brothers Howard of Auburn; Charles of Concordia, KS; Gary of Wymore, NE; sisters Clara and husband Marvin Vrtiska of Wymore; Donna and husband Jerry Yeck of Wymore; Linda Seyblitz of Wymore; Carol and husband Tom Brannon of Quemado, NM; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, December 3, 10:30 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home Chapel in Auburn. Following the services, the body will cremated, and burial of ashes will be at a later date at Walnut Grove Cemetery in Brownville. Visitation will be at the funeral home Saturday 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Sunday noon to 8:00 p.m.
