Delenna ?Del? Halkens, age 70 of Auburn, passed away at her home Tuesday, August 5, 2008. She was born June 10, 1938 in Fremont, NE.
Survivors include her husband Mel of Auburn; daughter Rhonda Uher and her husband Dan of Omaha; son Michael Halkens and his wife Sherry of North Platte, NE; 4 grandchildren; twin sister Deloris Anderson and her husband Kenneth of Lyons, NE; brother John Vieth of Fremont, NE; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, August 9, 11:00 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. The body will be cremated following the services. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 7:00.
Memorials suggested to the American Cancer Society.
