Delores Boshear

Delores Jean (Taylor) Boshear, one of three children of Howard and Clara (Smith) Taylor, was born May 3, 1926 at Louisville, Nebraska. She grew up and attended school in Louisville.

Delores was married briefly during World War II to John Patch. One son, Larry Dale, was born to this union.

On May 11, 1947 Delores was united in marriage to Dallas Boshear in Hiawatha, Kansas. They first lived in Omaha, Nebraska before moving to Watson, Missouri. In 1960 the couple moved to Barada, Nebraska, and in 1976 they moved to Shubert, Nebraska to live out their lives.

During her lifetime, Delores waited tables, cooked, and tended bar at various cafes. She also worked for a time as a clerk in the Brandeis store in Omaha.

Delores had been a member of the Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She was known as a ?neat? dresser, and liked dancing and playing cards.

Because of failing health, Delores became a resident of the Falls City Care Center in Falls City, Nebraska. On October 8, 2009 she was admitted to Community Medical Center in Falls City. It was there she passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the age of 83 years, 5 months, and 17 days. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Gerald and Max.

Delores is survived by her husband Dallas of Shubert; son Larry; sister-in-law Louise Taylor of Council Bluffs, IA; nieces and nephews Rodney Taylor of Auburn, WA; Janice Taylor of Council Bluffs; Bradley Taylor of Council Bluffs; Chris Daniels of Council Bluffs; Sherry and husband Dick Vanatta of Red Oak, IA; Larry and wife Jean Rebuck of Scottsdale, AZ; Patty Nugent of Phoenix, AZ; great-nieces and great-nephews; other relatives and friends.
