Hal Hansen, one of two children of Clarence and Zupha (Chriswisser) Hansen, was born March 17, 1925 in Nehawka, Nebraska. He attended school in Nehawka and graduated from Nehawka High School.

On August 25, 1946 Hal married his high school sweetheart, Orlah Kuntz, at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Lincoln, Nebraska. They made their home near Nehawka, and were blessed with two children, Stephen and Kristi.

He and his wife enjoyed 33 years in the business working with the public, retiring in September of 2006. During his time as a Chrysler dealer, Hal was a recipient of the Five Star Service Award.

Hal was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburn, and served on the Auburn Planning Commission and with the Chamber of Commerce. He also served on the Advisory Board of SCC-Milford. Hal loved traveling, photography, model airplanes, and anything associated with automobiles, including NASCAR races and his collection of old cars.

On Thursday, December 9, 2010 Hal passed away at the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn at the age of 85 years, 8 months, and 22 days. His parents preceded him in death.
