Hazle ?Jean? Sherman, age 74 of Peru, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at her home in Peru. She was born February 24, 1933 in Julian, NE.
Survivors include her children Kathleen and husband Lee Moyer of Auburn; Mary and husband Richard Bacon of Humboldt; Robert and wife Barbara Ann Sherman of Peru; Barbara Mikkelsen of Peru; Charles and wife Jeannette Sherman of Wahoo; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers Charles Jones of Grand Island, NE; Edward Jones of Modesto, CA; sisters and brothers-in-law Betty and Don Mauslein of Hiawatha, KS; Elizabeth Chambers of Little Rock, AR; Connie and Gerald Jensen of Nebraska City; Bonnie and Dale Wurtele of Nebraska City; other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be Tuesday, February 26, 10:00 a.m. at the Peru Community Church. Burial of ashes will follow in Mt. Vernon Cemetery at Peru. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00. Cremation, no viewing.
