Lydia A. Speckmann, age 92 of Hastings (formerly Johnson), passed away at Hastings Good Samaritan Village on Wednesday, October 29, 2008. She was born August 11, 1916 near Auburn, NE.
Survivors include her children Loren Speckmann of Tecumseh; Mary Ann and husband Jim Havel of Hastings; grandchildren Vicki and husband Jim Reisinger of Omaha; Scott and wife Lori Speckmann of Johnson; Sara and husband Jay Schutte of Juniata; Jami and husband Kirk Ortegren of Hastings; 9 great-grandchildren; brother Leland and wife Lillian Bohling of Fremont; sisters-in-law Elvera Bohling of Tecumseh; Marcille Bohling of Johnson; Joan Bohling of Johnson; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Saturday, November 1, 2:00 p.m. at Martin Luther Lutheran Church south of Johnson. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the funeral home in Johnson Friday 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
Memorials are suggested to the church or Shriners? Hospital of Chicago.
