Velma M. Piper, age 95 of Brock, died Monday, January 22, 2007 at the Nemaha County Good Samaritan in Auburn. She was born May 2, 1911 in Greenfield, OK.
Survivors include her children Doris and husband Darrell Gerdes of Talmage; Vera and husband Henry Rieken of Tecumseh; Jack and wife Linda Piper of Leesburg, VA; Kenneth and wife Irene Piper of Dunbar; daughter-in-law Margaret Piper of Brock; 19 grandchildren; 52 great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; brothers Cleonard Ruhl of Coffeyville, KS; Joseph and wife Elizabeth Ruhl of Greenfield, OK; sisters Alma Darrol of Tulsa, OK; Ellen and husband Max Brock of Lawton, OK; sister-in-law Nellie and husband Murel Barnett of Woodward, OK; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday, January 26, 10:30 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Burial will follow in the Clifton Cemetery near Brock. Visitation will be at the funeral home in Auburn Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
