Alvina S. Thomas, age 103 of Auburn (formerly of Nemaha), passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 at the Nemaha County Good Samaritan Center in Auburn. She was born August 16, 1904 in rural Auburn.
Survivors include her children Guilford and wife Norma Thomas of Osage City, KS; Marjorie and husband Vaughn Thompson of Topeka, KS; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; sister Josephine Gerdes of Auburn; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 10, 2:30 p.m. at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home Chapel in Auburn. Burial will follow in the Nemaha Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials in lieu of flowers suggested the Nemaha Christian Church or the Good Samaritan Society.
