Evelyn Nadine Bohlken, daughter of Elmer H. and Edna (Snow) Parker, was born October 27, 1914 in Auburn, Nebraska. She attended elementary in Auburn and at a rural school, and graduated from Auburn High School in 1932. She went on to attend college in Omaha, Nebraska.

On August 26, 1949 Nadine was united in marriage to Lenard Bohlken in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

In 1943 Nadine became a Licensed Practice Nurse, and she began a 20 year career at the Auburn Hospital. She owned the hospital for 9 years before retiring in 1963. Even after her retirement she did fill-in work at the hospital and worked at the clinic until 1976.

Nadine was baptized in the Auburn Christian Church, but became a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Auburn. She also belonged to the Legion Auxiliary and the Auburn Eagles. Nadine always enjoyed reading in her spare time.

After Lenard?s passing, Nadine was able to live at her home until September 8th of 2009, when she became a resident of the Good Samaritan Society-Auburn. It was there she passed away on Saturday, October 3, 2009 at the age of 94 years, 11 months, and 6 days. In addition to her husband Lenard and her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by an infant sister and half-brother Harold Parker.

Nadine is survived by nieces and nephews, including Harold ?Pete? and wife Joanie Parker of Auburn; Dan Parker of Auburn; great-nieces and ?nephew, including Jeff and Carolynne Parker, Jill and Ryan Scanlon, Jennifer and fiancé Jordan Petersen, & Allie and Joey Vaughn; great-great nieces and ?nephews; special friends Kevin and Jackie Wheeler; other relatives and friends.
