George Lash

October 7, 1918 — September 28, 2015

George Lash age 96 passed away peacefully at his son's home in Sacramento, California on September 28, 2015. George was survived by his 4 children, Georgia (Lash) Wardelman, Charlotte (Lash) Shaw, Michelle Lash and Charles Lash. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Betty (Hardick) Lash and his infant daughter Marylou Lash. George had 7 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren. George was born in Auburn, Nebraska on 10/07/1918 and was the youngest child of Charles and Lucy Lash.

In George’s younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed this pastime with his son and sons-in-law. For recreation he would trapshoot and traveled the West Coast attending tournaments. He was a craftsman when it came to creating stocks for his guns and was known for his woodwork. In his later life he spent his time attending his great-grandchildren’s functions and would not miss an event. He was extremely proud of his family. George was a die-hard Husker fan and Nebraska was always in his heart. He has definitely passed that sentiment onto his family. He will be greatly missed. George will be laid to rest at the London Cemetery on October 24th at 11:30 AM in Auburn, Nebraska.
