Glenda L. Palmer

Glenda Lucile (Byrom) Palmer was born December 18, 1934 in Rulo, Nebraska to Sid and Darlene (Cook) Byrom. She grew up in Auburn, Nebraska where she graduated from high school in 1952.

Glenda was joined in marriage to Robert D. Palmer on August 18, 1956 in Falls City, NE and they were blessed with four children: Becky, Dave, Dennis and Tammy.

She worked for many years at the Danny Dare Sewing Factory until its closure. After that she was employed at Pamida and Shopko in Auburn until her retirement.

In her spare time Glenda was an avid Nebraska Husker Football fan and loved to read. She was also a member of the Nemaha Methodist Church.

On the morning of Wednesday, April 14, 2021 Glenda passed away at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert; son Dennis; and siblings.

Glenda is survived by her children Becky (Johnny) Polivka of Weston, NE, Dave Palmer of Auburn, NE, and Tammy (Todd) Hendrickson of Shubert, NE; grandchildren Nathan Palmer, Samantha and Belinda Polivka; step-grandchildren Tyler, Jared, and Melissa Kirkendall; numerous great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Cathy Byrom; other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held Monday, April 19, 2021, 11:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, NE. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial of ashes will be held at a later date in Nemaha Cemetery at Nemaha, NE.
