Josh Michael A.A.Ron Foster

Joshua Michael Aaron Foster, son of Ernest and Christine (Woodward) Foster, was born April 21, 1976, in DeKalb, Illinois. Josh grew up and attended school in Illinois, graduating from Salem High School in 1994.

After graduating from high school, Josh enlisted in the United States Navy. After achieving a high score on his ASVAB test, Josh was enrolled in the Nuclear Energy program within the Navy. He served six years with the Navy, being honorably discharged in 2000.

While in the Navy, Josh was blessed with a son, Ethan. Josh was then united in marriage to Rachael Grey and this union would be blessed with two children Zaylie and Aiden.

When Josh was discharged from the Navy, he traveled the country, working at various Nuclear Power Plants. Josh was then hired by Nebraska Public Power Department, taking a position in operations at Cooper Nuclear Station. Josh found his home at CNS and was employed there for the last 8 ½ years of his life.

Josh was a BMW fanatic and an unapologetic gearhead. He loved tinkering and was a huge gamer spending much of his spare time playing video games and collecting vintage game systems. Josh was also very interested in physics and idolized Stephen Hawking. Josh was a self-less man, always willing to help others in any way he could.

Josh was diagnosed with Cancer 15 months ago and underwent many treatments and operations throughout his fight. After a long, hard-fought battle, Josh passed away Thursday, February 18, 2021, at his home in Auburn, having reached the age of 44 years, 9 months, and 28 days. He was preceded in death by his father Ernest Foster.

Those left to mourn his passing include his children Ethan Foster, Zaylie Foster, Aiden Foster; grandchild Kyan Foster; mother and step-father Christine and Joe Hoffman; siblings and their spouses Tina Foster, Justin Foster (Moniqe), Tracy Foster-Ritchey (Noel), Tiffany Gordon (Blair), Adara Foster, Jessa Brantley, Jacee Foster; other relatives and many friends.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 27, 2021, at the Auburn Eagles Club. Guests are welcome to stop by anytime between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. to share stories and join in on celebrating his awesomeness.
