Patsy A Defreece

October 3, 1946 — January 9, 2019

Patsy Ann (Lesley) DeFreece, daughter of Mattie Murphy, was born October 3, 1946 in Nebraska City, Nebraska. She started school in Nebraska City and graduated from Westminster High School in Orange County California.

On February 11, 1983 Patsy was united in marriage to Larry DeFreece at Coryell Park near Brock, Nebraska. They made their home in Nebraska City until moving to Auburn, Nebraska.

Patsy was first and foremost a homemaker. She loved to take care of her children and keep things up around the house. Patsy also worked for 25 years at the American Meter Plant in Nebraska City.

As a member of First Christian Church in Nebraska City, she was involved in church activities as much as she could. In her spare time, Patsy loved to read and enjoyed working crossword puzzles. Once again, her favorite pastime was being with family, especially her grandkids.

She passed away at home with family around her on Wednesday, January 9, 2019. She had reached the age of 72 years, 3 months, and 6 days. Patsy was preceded in death by her mother Mattie Murphy, mother- and father-in-law LaVeta and Gene DeFreece, sisters Imogene Weik and Marvena Kolb, sister-in-law Sharon Jarrett, and brother-in-law Eugene Weible.
