Patti S. Meyer

December 31, 1951 — April 14, 2022

Patti Sam (Cook) Meyer, one of three children of Sam B. and Hassell (Branch) Cook, was born December 31, 1951, in Tyler, Texas. She grew up in Tyler where she attended school and graduated from Robert E. Lee High School.

On July 25, 1981, Patti was united in marriage to Roger Lee Meyer at First United Methodist Church in Auburn, Nebraska. They made their home in Auburn with Patti’s sons Ralph and Danny, and soon the couple was blessed with another son, Dustin.

Patti was primarily a farm wife and homemaker but also worked outside the home. She had been employed at SENCA and The Neighborhood Closet in Auburn.

She enjoyed needlepoint and attended craft fairs to show her work and look for other items to enjoy. She and Roger also liked to attend square dances in the area.

Roger passed away in April of 2017 and after a while living in their home, she sold it and moved to another home in Auburn. It was there she passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at the age of 70 years, 3 months, and 14 days. In addition to her husband Roger, she was preceded in death by her son Danny Haen.

Patti is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Ralph B. and Christine Haen of Lincoln, Dustin and Melissa Meyer of Murdock; grandchildren Patrick and Piper Haen, Maximus and Nora Meyer; sister and brother-in-law Nancy and Randy Green of Dallas; brother Adam Cook and Cathy of Nashua, NH; other relatives and friends.

A private family graveside service and burial will be held.
