Serenity Kay Marie Mckee
June 30, 2018 — July 1, 2018
Serenity Kay Marie McKee, daughter of Sue Ann McKee Cumro, was born June 30, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Nebraska City, Nebraska.
Due to complications during her birth, Serenity was transferred to Children’s Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Even with the wonderful care she received, Serenity went to be with Jesus in Heaven on Sunday, July 1, 2018.
Serenity was a beautiful little girl, with a head full of golden brown hair. Even though her time on earth was much too short, it was special in the way she helped her mother through tough times and made stronger the bonds among her family.
Family members who welcomed Serenity in Heaven include her grandmother Linda Kay McKee, great-grandma Nellie Johnson, great-uncle Hank Sullwold, and cousin Rhiley Krei.
Serenity felt the love of many, and will be forever remembered for her sweetness by her mother Sue of Auburn; grandparents Helen and Butch Schuetz of Humboldt; aunts and uncles Lisa McKee and significant other Matt Dunekacke of Auburn; Tommy McKee and significant other Bonnie Mayberry of Avoca; Dena and Terry Nunn of York; Viola and Tyrone Delaney of Lincoln; Cathy McKee of Lincoln; Robert Tichy of Humboldt; Ron and Brenda Tichy of Humboldt; Vicki and Arlo Fleischman of Elmwood; great-aunt Joan Sullwold of Stella; cousins and other relatives.
A funeral service will be Thursday, July 5, 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Auburn. Burial will follow in the Humboldt Cemetery at Humboldt. No visitation is planned.
Memorials are suggested in care of Sue McKee Cumro.
