Steven Eugene Dunn

Steven Eugene Dunn, of Stella, Nebraska was born on January 16, 1948 to Daniel and Julia (Killingsworth) Dunn in Falls City, Nebraska. He attended Stella High School, in Stella, Nebraska graduating in 1966. Steve was baptized at Prairie Union Baptist Church near Shubert. Following high school, he began farming in the Stella area. On June 6, 1970, he was united in marriage to Deborah Peterson at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Auburn, Nebraska. In his free time, Steve enjoyed hunting, camping, and fishing with family and friends. He passed away on February 7, 2022, at the Falls City Care Center in Falls City, Nebraska. He is survived by his wife Debbi of Stella; children Troy (Malinda) Dunn of Savannah, MO, Tracy (Krista) Dunn of Buffalo, WY; grandchildren Adriann (Matt) Brammeier of St. Joseph, MO, Brendan Dunn of St. Joseph, MO, Carsyn Dunn of Savannah, MO, Connor Dunn and Carter Dunn of Buffalo, WY; brothers Dan “Doc” (Sheila) Dunn and Jack (Raylene) Dunn of Stella; sister Wilma (Steve) Werner of Stella; brothers-in-law Alan Whitford of Milford, NE; Earl (Belinda) Peterson of Beresford, SD, Michael (Lisa) Peterson of Eagle; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Steve is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Gary Dunn, and a sister-in-law, Celia Whitford.



A funeral service will be Friday, February 11, 2:00 p.m. at Prairie Union Baptist Church near Shubert. Burial will follow in Prairie Union Cemetery. Visitation will be at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00.
