Becky Sue (Kleckinger) Whisler, age 70, of Auburn, Nebraska passed away April 9, 2026, at CHI Heart Institute in Lincoln, Nebraska. Becky was born on February 26, 1956, in Auburn, Nebraska.
Becky grew up in Southeast Nebraska living most of her life in the Peru and Auburn areas. She attended Auburn High School, graduating in 1974.
Those who knew Becky knew that her greatest pleasure was making others laugh. She enjoyed camping, gardening (she had a green thumb), and baking. Later in life, she enjoyed trips with her sister down to see her mother, her murder mystery shows (Joe Kenda her favorite) and going to the casino.
She is remembered by her daughters Stephanie (Michael) Apple, Lindsay (Jeremy) Boyce, son Kessler Whisler, and her granddaughter Charli (Thomas) Kahman. Becky’s parents, Jim and Marilyn Blex, brother Allen Kleckinger, sister Rae Ann Goering, brother Russ Blex, sister Dianna (Dave) Hunter, as well as many other nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Albert Kleckinger, granddaughter Alexis Bantz, sister Donna (Blex) Pugh, brother-in-law Gary Goering, and sister-in-law Alicia Blex.
In accordance with her selfless spirit, Becky donated her body for medical education and research. Her final act of generosity will help future doctors and scientists advance medicine, a gift that her family is incredibly proud of. There will be no public services for Becky.
