Betty J. Behrends, age 84 of Auburn, passed away Thursday, June 30, 2011 in Auburn. She was born March 3, 1927 near Julian, NE and was a graduate of Julian High School.
Survivors include her son Ron Behrends and Linda of Auburn; daughters Wanda Swanson of Lincoln; Janice Andersen of Lincoln; son-in-law Jerry Strecker of Primghar, IA; 8 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be Saturday, July 9, 10:30 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. The body has been donated to science, and burial of ashes will be at a later date at Sheridan Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Friday, July 8, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
Memorials in lieu of flowers suggested to family choice.
