James A. Grotrian

James A. Grotrian, age 59 of Plattsmouth, passed away Monday, November 3, 2025, at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Survivors include his wife Lisa of Plattsmouth; brother and sister-in-law Arlen and Kathie Grotrian of Johnson; sisters and brother-in-law Lori and Craig Behrends of Auburn and Linda Post of Syracuse; sisters- and brother-in-law Christine and Ed Lacy of Loveland, CO and Michele Metzger of Nicollett, MN; brother- and sister-in-law Bill and Teri Metzger of Cedar Creek; numerous nieces and nephews and many friends.

The visitation will be held Thursday, November 6, from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn, with family greeting friends from 5:00 to 7:00. A private funeral service for the immediate family will be held Friday at Martin Luther Lutheran Church near Johnson. Burial will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery near Johnson.

Memorials in lieu of flowers are suggested to the family for later designation.
