James “Jim” Gnade, age 76 of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at Bryan Medical Center West in Lincoln.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Travis and Misty Gnade of St. Louis, MO; daughter and son-in-law Rachel and Michael Custer of Kansas City, KS; grandchildren Gabrielle, Blake, and Grant Custer, Katie and Carson Gnade; sisters Rae Ann Falk of Auburn, Sally Lavigne (Roger Gerdes) of Auburn, Jeannie Morava of Little Rock, AR; brother Steven (Joyce) Gnade of Fort Worth, TX; sisters-in-law Eleanor (Larry) Hart of Burchard, Linda (Roger) Vogel of Grand Island, Carol Dieckhoff of Commerce, OK, Donna Dieckhoff of Tecumseh; good friends Ed and Jackie Myers, Bob Bals; other relatives and many friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 23, 1:30 p.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Family will greet friends beginning at noon on Thursday until time of service.
