James "Jim" Saunders

James “Jim” Saunders, age 70 of Auburn, passed away Friday, September 5, 2025, at University Medical Center in Omaha.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Charles “CJ” and Julia Saunders of Auburn, Berry and Christina Saunders of Story City, IA, Kalem and Cady Saunders of Auburn; grandchildren Cheyenne, Tanner, Justin, Allianna, Dayton, Ehlena, Olivia, Aubrey, Maggie; great-grandchild Ryder; siblings Jeanette (Greg) Hunziker of Lee’s Summit, MO, Edward (Annette) Saunders of Norwood, MO, Susie (John) Launius of Lee’s Summit, MO; other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 12, 2025, 10:00 a.m. at Hemmingsen Funeral Home in Auburn. Burial will follow in Sheridan West Cemetery at Auburn. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6:00 to 8:00.
