Janice Lynn (Rodefer) Manese was born March 16, 1953, at the Walker Air Force Base hospital in Roswell, New Mexico to Lyle Orwin and Joyce Janice (Ross-Atcherson) Rodefer.
Janice earned her GED from the State of Illinois in July of 1980. She received her Certification as a Nursing Assistant in 1995 at Glendale Community College in Arizona, and in June 2003 received a Diploma in Astrology/Parapsychology.
Throughout her adult life Janice was married to Michael Kresch and later divorced. She also married and was widowed by Daniel Immordino and Frank Manese.
Janice held various work positions, including with Continental Security Service from 1987 to 1997, where she achieved “Employee of the Month”. She then worked as a CNA at Heather Glen Care Center in Glendale, Arizona until 1999. In March 2010 Janice was ordained at the Universal Life Church Monastery. Janice also was the owner of a successful small business called Frank and Janice Furniture Moving and More.
A cancer survivor, battling the disease from 1999 to 2002, Janice experienced other health issues in more recent years. On a visit to her sister Barb’s home near Peru, Nebraska, Janice passed away on Thursday, October 16, 2025. In addition to her two husbands, her parents and brother Lyle “Rocky” Rodefer II preceded her in death.
Janice is survived by her children Joey Rogers, Jeanne (Leslie) Krueger, Allen (Heather) Schmidt, Michelle Thurley, Danny Immordino, and Nicole (Travis Zimmerle) Immordino; 14 grandchildren: 10 great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Ann (Bob) Sherman; brother Roger Lee Rodefer; other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, October 25, 3:00 p.m. at 64389 735 Road, Peru, Nebraska.
