Jeremy David Allen

Jeremy David Allen, oldest child of David Allen and Joleen Kreifels, was born November 6, 1982, at Nebraska City, Nebraska. Jeremy grew up attending school in Auburn, Nebraska, graduating from Auburn High School in 2001. After high school, Jeremy attended the University of Nebraska at Lincoln for a year where he was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity.

After attending UNL, Jeremy began working in Lincoln for White Electric. He then began a career with Don & Millie’s, where he would get promoted all the way up to general manager.

On June 30, 2007, Jeremy was united in marriage to Tara Flores in Lincoln. Jeremy welcomed Tara’s daughter Dionna as his own and the couple would be blessed with four more children: Devin, Darius, Drake, and Delaney. The couple made their home in Lincoln.

Jeremy was an avid golfer all his life. He enjoyed fishing, and loved gaming, especially with his kids. He was a diehard fan of both the Duke men’s basketball team and the San Francisco 49ers. Jeremy was also known to be quite the beer pong/beer die player in his younger years.

Jeremy’s fight with cancer started 10 years ago when a tumor was first found on his brain. He then was given the diagnosis of Glioblastoma in 2020. With the amazing support of family and friends, Jeremy continued his fight. He also received the amazing support of the Slay Society, an organization founded to support families and individuals affected by Glioblastomas. When he was no longer able to be cared for at home, Jeremy moved to The Grace Space in Lincoln, where he continued his fight with the added support of the amazing staff there. On Wednesday, July 3, 2024, Jeremy passed away at The Grace Space, having reached the age of 41 years, 7 months, and 27 days. He was preceded in death by his grandparents Al and Donna Kreifels, Lowell Feighner; brother Christopher Johnson; great-grandparents Leland and Evelyn Gerdes, Leo and Francis Kreifels, Gladys Johnson and Bessie Feighner.

Jeremy will be missed and never forgotten by his children Dionna Mendoza, Devin, Darius, Drake, and Delaney Allen; their mother Tara Allen; granddaughter Elise Allen; parents Joleen Kreifels of Nebraska City, David (Christine) Allen of Papillion; siblings Jessica (Nate) Bunton of Elkhorn, Easton Dauel of Papillion, Kaitlin Dauel of Elmsford, NY; nephew and niece Carter and Alayna Bunton; grandparents Connie Feighner of Auburn, Jon and Anita Zavadil of Columbus; many aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
