Larry Ray Morris, one of three children of Raymond and Leota (Patterson) Morris, was born January 19, 1942, at Peru, Nebraska. Larry grew up and attended school in Peru, graduating from Peru Prep.
On June 5, 1961, Larry was united in marriage to Barbara Conner at Humboldt, Nebraska. The couple made their home in Peru, and would be blessed with three children: Roxann, Larry, Jr., and Cheri.
In his spare time, Larry enjoyed gardening, hunting and fishing, and he loved woodworking, Larry made many bird houses and pens throughout the years. Larry spent the last years of employment at Cooper Nuclear Station in Brownville, retiring in January of 2000.
In the early morning hours of January 9, 2022, Larry passed away at his home in Auburn, having reached the age of 79 years, 11 months, and 21 days. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Leota (Patterson) Morris, sister Dorothy (Morris) Nichols, son Larry Ray Morris, Jr., granddaughter Jessica (Morris) Lyons, and son-in-law Leslie Dean.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of Auburn; daughters Roxann (Morris) Jones, Cheri (Morris) Dean of Auburn; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister Margaret (Morris) Groves of Onawa, IA; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
