Margaret E. Warner

Margaret E. Warner was born June 11, 1934 at Randolph, Iowa. She was one of five children of Michael Edward and Della Alice (Smith) Hall. After her mother married Axle Nelson, she came to know him as her father. Margaret was baptized and confirmed at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Stanton, Iowa. She attended elementary school in Stanton and graduated from high school in Stennett, Iowa in 1952.

On November 5, 1955 Margaret was united in marriage to Don Warner in Sidney, Iowa. The couple made their home in Humboldt, Nebraska for two years and then moved to Julian, Nebraska.

Margaret loved children, so she did babysitting during different periods in her life. She also worked at Epler’s Mercantile in Julian as a meat cutter for 14 years. She very much enjoyed her time spent at the store.

Margaret had served as a 4-H Leader, and belonged to a bowling league for many years. She loved to cook and was known for her skills in the kitchen.

Suffering from ill health, Margaret passed away at her home in Julian on Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the age of 79 years, 4 months, and 22 days. Her parents, infant sister, and son Daniel Koppelmann preceded her in death.

Those left to mourn her passing include her husband Don of Julian; children and their spouses Ardis and Alvin Kaus of Colby, KS; David and Rosanna Koppelmann of Yorktown, VA; Cynthia and Charles Coufal of Millard; Brenda and David Klingforth of Papillion; Roland Koppelmann of Concord, NE; Rita and James Parriott of Murray; Bill and Heather Koppelmann of Julian; grandchildren Brian, Amaris, Jordan, Brianna, Kristin, Patric, Tonya, Gina, Ashley, Clark, K., MaKayla, Jacqueline`, James, Danie, Hunter, and Colton; great-granddaughter Stella; sister and brother-in-law Mary and Ken Cole of Nebraska City; brothers Jim Nelson; Jesse “Bud” Hall of Fremont; other relatives and friends.

A graveside funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 12, 4:30 p.m. at Camp Creek Cemetery near Nebraska City. Burial will follow. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 6:00 to 8:00.
