Patricia Ann (Wheeler) Lunzmann, age 91 of Auburn, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at the Good Samaritan Society in Auburn. She was born on December 30, 1934, at Howe, Nebraska and was baptized at the Howe Evangelical Church.
Pat graduated from Auburn High School in 1952 and then moved to Omaha where she began her career as a secretary. In 1953, she married her high school sweetheart, Leland (Lee) Lunzmann. They continued their life in Omaha until 1957 when they purchased the Dairy Queen in Nebraska City where they remained for 5 years. She and Lee purchased the Culligan Soft Water business in Auburn at that time. They later bought the Pioneer Seed business which included Pioneer Appliance and TV, Pioneer Antiques and Pioneer Video. She and Lee worked together for most of their lives. He preceded her in death in 2012.
Pat’s family was her most precious possession. Pat and Lee hosted many family reunions and gatherings. They were the parents of 3 sons, David (Dawni) of Garden City, KS; Dan (Amy) of Auburn; and Darren (Kathy) of Bennington. Her 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren were the center of her life. Derek (Cyan) their children Rogan and Ryla; Darcy her child: Journie; Lucas; Abby; Ally; Bryan (Shannon) their child Hunter.
Pat was a 50+ year member of the First United Methodist Church in Auburn and many other civic organizations.
A private family graveside service will be held at a later date at Bedford Cemetery at Howe.
