Robert O. Boellstorff

Robert Ora Boellstorff was born Mary 10, 1940, in Auburn, Nebraska to Ora and
Mildred (Hauberg) Boellstorff. One of three children, Bob attended Charter Oak
rural school and graduated from Brock High School.
On September 8, 1963, Robert was united in marriage to DeLores Grant in
Lincoln, Nebraska. They were blessed with three children: Sheryl, Laurie, and
Brad. The couple made their first home in Greenwood, Nebraska and made two
moves until moving to Waverly, Nebraska in 1967. In 2022 Bob and DeLores
moved to Johnson, Nebraska.
Bob started working in 1962 as a purchasing agent with Bryant Air
Conditioning, Heating, Electrical, and Plumbing in Lincoln. He was with the
company for 53 years, retiring in January of 2016 as President of the
organization.
As a result of his work and willingness to serve, Bob had served as a Director
on the Blue Flame Gas Association and President of the Lincoln Heating and Air
Conditioning Association. He was appointed by the Mayor of Lincoln to the
Lincoln Code Study Committee and Task Force and the Mechanical Code Task
Force. He had been a member of the Waverly Planning Commission, the
Mechanical Advisory and Appeals Board, the HVAC Advisory and Appeals Board,
the National Association of Home Builders of the United States and served on
many other local and regional associations.
Bob also knew how to enjoy life, including traveling with his wife to every event
possible that involved his children and grandchildren. He was a fan of watching
sporting events and going to sales and auctions to collect endless supplies of
“stuff”. Bob loved to spoil the family dog, Peanuts, by feeding him from local fast
food restaurants and also from the table, and was continually mowing the grass
at home.
On Friday, January 12, 2024, Bob passed away unexpectedly at the Nemaha
County Hospital in Auburn. He had attained the age of 83 years, 8 months, and 2
days, and was preceded in death by his parents Ora and Mildred and his sister
and her husband Rosalie Ann and Nevin Meixsell.
Among the many who will miss Bob and mourn his loss are his wife DeLores of
Johnson; children Sheryl Smith and significant other Kevin Bals of Ulysses, NE,
