S. Ileene Hartwig, age 79 of Auburn, passed away Tuesday, November 11, 2008 at Clarkson Hospital in Omaha. She was born March 11, 1929. Ileene was preceded in death by her daughters Nancy Lynn Mehuron and Crystal Bresley.
Survivors include her husband Edgar ?E.C.? Hartwig of Auburn; sons Chet and wife Judy Hartwig of Lincoln; Russ and wife Margy Hartwig of Red Deer, Alberta, Canada; sons-in-law Mitch Mehuron of Lincoln; Mark Bresley of Omaha; David Bals of Lincoln; grandchildren Nicole Bresley Ward and husband Casey; Jason Bresley; Jessica Reinhart and husband Ryan; Matt Hartwig; Alex Hartwig; Megan Peck and husband Jason; Adam Bals and wife Emily; great-grandchildren Christian Ward; Grace Ward; Aidan Reinhart; Sam Peck; sister Georgia English of San Jose, CA; brother Reed Smith and wife Alice of Helena, AL; sister-in-law Hilda Smith of Fort Collins, CO; other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be Monday, November 17, 2:00 p.m. at the Hemmingsen Funeral Home Chapel in Auburn. Visitation will be Sunday noon to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends 2:00 to 4:00. No viewing.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
